Calculators aren't provided at the test center and you're not allowed to lend a calculator.
Quick Facts
- Only the calculators listed here are accepted in the Math Test-Calculator part of the test.
- You should not use a calculator while working on the Reading, Writing and Language or Math Test -- No Calculator sections, and you must take away the calculator away during these portions on the examination.
- You'll be disqualified and your score canceled should you utilize your calculator to share details during the test or to remove questions or their answers from the testing room.
Calculator Smarts
- Bring your own calculator. You cannot share one.
- Don't bring a brand-new calculator. Bring one you know. Make sure you practice for the test using the same calculator you'll use on the day of your test.
- This Math Test includes some questions where you shouldn't utilize a calculator however you are allowed to.
- It can be beneficial to complete scratch work from the test book. Note down your thoughts prior to taking your calculator.
- Be sure that your calculator is in good operating condition and that the batteries are clean. The test centre will not provide additional calculators or batteries. If your calculator fails during testing and you do not have a backup the test will be completed the test without it.

You are allowed to use calculators only for the Subject Tests for Mathematics. Check out the guidelines and rules.
Acceptable Calculators
If you own an calculator with characters one inch or higher, or if your calculator has a raised display that is visible to other test-takers. You will be assigned a seat at the discretion from the testing coordinator.
Only handheld devices powered by batteries can be used to test. Power cords are not permitted.
Calculators which are permitted during testing are:
- The majority of are graphing calculators (see chart)
- All scientific calculators
- The four-function function calculator, in all its forms (not advised)

Unacceptable Calculators
You aren't allowed to make use of the following items as a calculator:
- Laptops, other computers, mobile phones, tablets smartwatches or wearable technology
- Models with the ability to connect to Internet are equipped with wireless, Bluetooth, cellular, recording and playing of audio/video, camera, or any other features similar to smartphones.
- Models with a computer style (QWERTY) keypad pen input or stylus
- Models that make use of electricity outlets, make sounds or even have a paper tape
- Additionally, the use of hardware peripherals such as a stylus with an approved calculator is not permitted. Some models that feature touchscreen capability aren't allowed (e.g., Casio ClassPad).
