Calculator Use

The graphing scientificand 4-function calculators can be used or are offered for certain Practice (r) tests. If it is not specifically stipulated that a calculator is permitted for a particular test, calculators may not be used.

Test takers are not allowed to share calculators.

Tests That Do Not Permit Use of a Calculator

In generally, unless explicitly stated that a certain kind of calculator is allowed or required for a specific test, calculators are not allowed to be used for the exam. test.

Tests That Permit the Use of a Calculator

You may use a quadruple or scientific calculator to pass your Middle School: Content Knowledge (5146) test, although it is not required to use it. You must bring your own calculator to the testing center. One is not provided by the center for testing. A graphing calculator isn't allowed during this test.

Types of CalculatorsThat Are Not Permitted

The following items are not allowed during Praxis test:

  • Portable/handheld computers or laptops
  • Electronic writing pads
  • Models with pen-input/stylus/touch-screen capability
  • Calculators can be found on any phone or watches, as well as other electronic devices
  • Models featuring QWERTY or other alphabetic keyboards as part of hardware or software
  • Models printed with printers
  • Models that make noise , or "talk"
  • Modells which require an outlet
  • Models that connect to the internet via wireless or Bluetooth (r) capability
  • Models that have a camera capable of scanning, players that record digital audio or video

In addition, the usage of any hardware peripherals is prohibited.

Test taker-supplied calculators are not allowed to be used for Praxis assessments which include calculators on the screen.
